Our Vision
At Crane AI Labs, our mission is to build a sovereign AI ecosystem that can serve billions of people. Achieving this scale requires more than just powerful models; it requires a world-class, end-to-end technology stack, from training infrastructure to optimized on-device inference.
That is why we are building on top of NVIDIA's industry-leading AI platform. Following insightful discussions with NVIDIA's Director of Developer Relations (EMEA) at Gitex 2025, we are leveraging their ecosystem to ensure our sovereign solutions are built for performance, scalability, and control.
Building on NVIDIA's Technology Stack
The Goal
To solve the critical challenge of bringing voice-enabled AI to Africa's 2,000+ languages. Our next major R&D initiative is to create a new family of "Crane-Audio" models.
The Technology
We are building these models on NVIDIA's state-of-the-art, open-source speech AI architectures, including Canary (multilingual ASR) and Parakeet (speech-to-text).
The Innovation
By fine-tuning these powerful base models on our unique, curated datasets of African languages and accents, we are creating a new generation of automatic speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) models that are truly representative of our continent.
The Goal
To ensure our Crane Models deliver the fastest possible performance, whether in the cloud or on the edge.
The Technology Stack
We are integrating NVIDIA's SDKs across our entire workflow:
- NVIDIA Riva: For deploying our Crane-Audio models with real-time performance
- TensorRT: For optimizing our LLMs and vision models, drastically reducing latency
- CUDA: To build custom, high-performance kernels for our unique model architectures

A highly optimized, production-ready AI stack that gives us full control over our scaling capabilities.

To connect with and contribute to a global community of builders who are solving the world's hardest problems with AI.
The Plan
We are actively pursuing opportunities to join NVIDIA's programs for startups and innovators. Our goal is to collaborate with other pioneering companies from the Global South, sharing best practices and building a collective of expertise on deploying AI in emerging markets.
